Do I have to be a Uniting Church member to open an investment with UC Invest?
No, you don’t have to be a Uniting Church member to open an investment with us.
Is UC Invest under the government guarantee?
No. The products issued by UC Invest are not subject to the usual investor protections under the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) and are not regulated by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).
How do I open an investment? Do I need to come in person? Do I need to be identified?
Opening a New Investment Account is Simple
- Visit our website and click Open an Account.
- You’ll be taken to our secure online application form—just follow the steps to complete your application.
What you’ll need:
- To be at least 18 years of age
- 5–10 minutes to complete the application
- Access to a mobile device
- Australian residency
- A valid Australian Driver’s Licence or Passport
As part of the process, you’ll be asked to verify your identity by submitting your ID through a secure digital verification service.

Can I pay in cash?
No. UC Invest is unable to accept cash. We can transfer funds, either to or from your nominated external bank account.
What is TTS and how do I get it?
Telephone Transfer Service (TTS) is a staff assisted transfer service designed to allow you to manage your investments simply and quickly over the phone. As this is not an automatic phone service, the TTS is only available during UC Invest office hours. You can opt for TTS service in the New Investment Application Form.
